National Community Housing Standards and Accreditation – Accredited provider

YMHAL uses the National Community Housing Standards to ensure good practice. The accreditation process is part of the organisations quality improvement framework. YMHAL sees quality improvement as an approach to organisational development that ensures people within the organisation are committed to constantly improving service delivery. The overall result is improved outcomes for clients and communities.

Human Services Quality Standards Trial  – Audit May 2011

The purpose of the audit was to evaluate the implementation, including effectiveness, of the service’s quality management system. During this audit the auditors reviewed documentation and assessed its implementation and delivery of service in relation to the Human Services Quality Standards. 

National Regulatory System for Community Housing -Tier 2 Accredited Provider

Australia’s new National Regulatory System for Community Housing aims to ensure a well governed, well managed and viable national community housing sector that meets the housing needs of tenants and provides assurance for government and investors. 



Yumba-Meta Housing Association Ltd was the Australasian winner of the AHI Leading Innovation Award for Professional Excellence in Housing award. This award is another validation of the successful approach Yumba-Meta applies to its housing developments and its provision of housing services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and other disadvantaged groups.
